The 37th Annual Self-Transcendence
 Triathlon/Duathlon - July 31st 2016

Welcome to the 37th annual Self-Transcendence Triathlon/Duathlon! Canada’s longest-running Triathlon will be held next year at Elk Lake, Victoria on Sunday, July 31, 2016! The previous announcement that 2015 would be the last year for the race has been swept away by the wave of regret and warm support from local Athletes and community members. The world-wide Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, too, sprang forward with some 20 members coming to assist with this past race and with commitments to our planning team for the future. Registration is now open for 2016.

Tri BC has announced that our race has been selected again this year to be the
2016 BC Sprint Championship Race!
The Self Transcendence Sprint Race is the BC Championship and Tri BC has directed that disk brakes shall not be allowed. This disk brake restriction does not apply to racers in the Standard (Olympic) Race or the Duathlon.

Have a look at the Saanich News article where Sumitra is quoted using Sri Chinmoy's adage to "never give up" when discussing the continuation of the race.
